Arcapush Is Not Product Hunt. That's the Point.

Arcapush and Product Hunt solve different discovery problems. One centers launch moments; the other is building structured, durable project records and distribution signals.

Arcapush Is Not Product Hunt. That's the Point.

“Is this like Product Hunt?” is a reasonable question when somebody first sees Arcapush.

The answer is: they overlap around product discovery, but the product model is different.

Product Hunt is built around launches

Product Hunt is known for daily product launches, community discussion, upvotes, rankings, collections, and a large audience of people interested in new technology.

That launch-oriented model is useful when a founder wants a concentrated public moment around a product. A Product Hunt page also remains available after launch, so it would be inaccurate to say products simply disappear after 24 hours.

The more precise distinction is that Product Hunt's core experience is launch-centric.

Arcapush is being built around records and distribution

Arcapush is not organized around one launch day or a daily voting leaderboard.

A project receives a structured public record. Depending on type, that can include a product page, AI agent record, or hackathon build; project media; founder and ownership signals; and a permanent Genesis number from the global registry.

Arcapush then connects those records to distribution measurement: impressions, page views, outbound visits, shares, and founder analytics for owned listings.

The primary question is not “how many votes did this get today?” It is “can somebody understand this project, find it again, and see where attention is coming from?”

The permanent part is provenance, not a ranking promise

Arcapush uses one global Genesis sequence across Products, AI Agents, and Hackathon builds. The number records a project's position in Arcapush's registry history and is designed not to change when the listing is edited, claimed, or verified.

That is different from promising that a page will rank permanently in Google or receive permanent traffic. Search engines control search rankings, and traffic changes over time.

The durable part is the Arcapush record and Genesis provenance, not a guarantee about external platforms.

Discovery is broader than products now

The March version of this article described Arcapush primarily as an encyclopedia for vibe-coded startups. That is no longer the complete product.

Arcapush now covers:

  • Products on the primary Arcapush application,
  • AI Agents with a canonical public surface at agents.arcapush.com,
  • Hackathon builds that can keep a public record after the event ends.

The mixed discovery layer connects those project types while preserving type-specific pages.

There is no public pay-to-rank checkout

Another important distinction from older Arcapush positioning: public paid pinning and self-serve checkout have been removed.

Normal discovery, submission, and founder analytics on owned listings are free. Arcapush does offer selected managed distribution work through arcapush.com/promote, but that is a service inquiry rather than a button that buys ranking in the registry.

That separation protects the discovery product from becoming a simple pay-to-place board.

Should a founder use Product Hunt or Arcapush?

Potentially both — for different jobs.

Use a launch platform when you want a launch event, community feedback, and concentrated exposure around a release.

Use Arcapush when you want a structured record that sits inside a broader discovery, provenance, ownership, and distribution system.

Those are complementary jobs. Arcapush does not need Product Hunt to be bad in order for Arcapush to be useful.

What this article got wrong before

The original version made claims such as investors not browsing Product Hunt archives and suggested Arcapush could reliably place founders in front of investors months later. Those are impossible to guarantee and were stronger than the available evidence.

The current promise is narrower and more defensible:

Arcapush makes projects easier to structure, discover inside Arcapush, verify, and distribute. What happens after discovery still depends on the project and the people seeing it.

Update note

Reviewed August 20, 2026 against the current Arcapush architecture and positioning. Unsupported claims about investor behavior, guaranteed organic discovery, and the old startup-only positioning were removed.
